My first serious detail... MY CAR! and this is also the car's first full detail! I started with a temp. of around 32 at 9:00am and dind't finished it until almost 6:00 as you can see it was getting dark, but I managed to get some pics... Total time with the car: 10+ hours in a matter of 2 days(yes, it was that dirty) Anyways, my wife got mad because she was sick and she said that I took care of the car more than what I took care of her... oh, well, what can I do??? Anyways, before I forget, all the process was done by hand, no PC yet, but working with Bob for that(Thanks Bob for the super fast e-mails!) Thanks Bob also for an awesome transaction with NB and PwCB. Super Fast! So, process was:
-Jack up car and remove tires to wash using TW Hard shell Tire and Wheel Cleaner (Good product, but looking for something else, got it for a buck a bottle at Wal-mart) and tires got washed with Simple Green diluted 10:1 (H2O:SG, simply great!)
-Washed wheel wells with Simple Green 10:1
-Washed with TW Platinum Car Wash and Conditioner (Great product, super sudsy and great lubricity (sp?)Best part? got a 64oz for $2.00 clearance on Wal-mart)
-Clayed the car using a "pro" clay bought in another supplier and TW car wash as a lube (the clay held up great, and TW is great as a lube as well!)
-Washed again
-Dried car using The Absorber in the first pass and a Plush MF in the second pass.
-Dressed the tires with Mothers FX Tire Shine applied directly onto tires, let it set for around 30 min. and wiped with bare hand (Not a good product, messy, greasy and takes forever to settle in, and after a rainfall, it went away) Dressed wells with WD-40 on the bare metal and wit original AA for the plastics(Nice combo, I have used it since forever and WD-40 helps wash easier the wells since nothing will stick to it)
-Applied PB Polish w/Carnauba Blue with a foam applicator using circular motions starting from the top (First time using it, and will be my 1-step product for good! Easyon/off and a very good paint cleaner)
-Applied NB next day since it got dark on me, only 1 coat was enough to pop the flakes out! (Awesome LSP! Easy on/off too and nice smell! jejeje)
-Cleaned interior using Rainbow e2 Vacuum and cleaned plastics with Meguiars's Quick Interior Detailer(leaves no shine, but gives a good "brand new" look, excelent for bein an OTC product) Sorry, No interior pics..
Well, Here are the pics, hope you enjoy!
