Ok, I have a question. I understand how to apply liquid was with a pc, but how in the world do you get the paste applied. Do you use an applicator to put it on the vehicle then use the PC?

Paste wax = no PC.... For me atleast.

Some people take a butter knife and 'spread' the wax over the finishing pad and others pop the paste out of the jar into a plastic baggie and then rub the wax over the pad.

I'm with Budman3. You can apply the paste wax by hand and remove with a PC. You end up wasting a lot of wax if you try to apply a paste wax with a PC.

That's what I do the few times I use a PC to apply paste wax.

What I do is apply the paste wax by hand using the Pad Pal and then I go over the paint with a PC or Cyclo and a finishing pad to even out the hand applied wax coat.

For me the best way is apllying it by hand with a yellow foam applicator, and taking it off with a nice soft plush mf.

Good thing I asked. It does seem like it would be easier to apply by hand and remove by PC. Thanks for the input ya'll.

Personally,
I never remove wax or polish by machine. All of my removal is by hand unless, fro some reason, I used a product that doesn't easily come off.

I've started to apply wax with the PC. I pop it out (it is inside some plastic wrap in the jar) and spread on the pad. I find it does not waste much and spreads thin MUCH easier than by hand which leads to a quicker removal too with a MF. You should at least try it, I was skeptical but I do it all the time now.
