Well as the title says my plastic speedo lens is pretty badly scracthed. I can buy a new one for $40, but I was thinking if I got a lens kit I could do the lens and then do the headlights as well. Any suggestions on what I can do to fix it?

I think it depends on your headlights...if they're scratched/hazed enough that you want to polish them out, get the kit. If not, just get the new speedo lens.

proper advice. The mustang headlights are yellowed out. Do you think I could do the two headlights and speedo cluster with the kit?

Yes, no problems. The kit goes a long way.

Ok, well it looks like I will try that first then. Looks like I will be making my first Danase order. Thanks for the help guys.

Do you (anyone that's tried the kit) think the clusters would be accessible enough to use this kit? (Assuming a person didn't/couldn't remove the dash) Or would it be only for pieces that have been taken apart?

I guess it depends on a few things. The dash surrounding the cluster and the drill being used. You could get a lot of it while it is still in but I would be worried about getting too close to the edge and hitting the dash with the spinning drill chuck.

Also if I were to attempt that I would go with alot of tape on surrounding pieces.

Big,
It would probably be a lot easier to just remove the speedo bezel, and cluster. Usually it is only 2-bolts holding it in. Probably better then wrestling with the steering wheel.

Yeah, on some cars, unfortunately like myGF's, has a dash with about 10 (That I've noticed) and even removing those, it's a tight (too tight) fit to try and remove over the steering wheel.
I guess I'll have to try again in the summer. (Smoker car-inside's filmy anyway. )

Leave it to a Ford to be difficult.
