According to my wife

It's a 04 Suzuki SV650N. I bought it from a guy outside Chicago in October last year with 7k miles on it and it came with the pipe (sounds kick-ass IMO). It was stock at the time, I have already added my own touches:

Frame and swingarm sliders
bar end mirrors
fender eliminator
clear film on the tank to protect it from jacket and pant scratches
Conti Road Attack tires to replace the worn stock tires
Silverstar headlight bulb
.....and over $1k in gear to protect my arse when/if I go down

I just learned to ride last year and picked it up pretty quickly. I really liked the look of this bike in naked form with the frame being the main attribute that sticks out. It's quick but not too quick, and is very light at about 400lb. Gets 45+ mpg too 8)

Right now it was polished with IP and FPII on a PC and 4" pads. Then it got NB and CG's carnauba QD for dust cleanups (and I use it on my helmet all the time). Let me know what you think!

Nice looking bike. I really like that color. There's not a speck of dust on that thing. Nice job detailing.

Thanks.
I forgot I also destickered it (the S on the tank is under the clearcoat) and put VM on the frame.

hmm not sure its good to have no lube on that chain is it?? when i lube my chain on my busa, i try to keep it contained, but it is a chain and needs to have some lubrication on it at all times.

It looks like it has lube on it to me. It looks "wet". I road with a guy a few weeks back that had a chain that looked bone dry and was surprised it did not snap. LOL

Bikes looking good fellas!

This is why I go with shaft driven bikes. Sure it keeps me away from the street bikes, but I don't have to worry about lubricating anything. :) I like my bikes low maintenance. That is a great looking bike though. I'm way to chicken to ride one of those the way they are built to be ridden, but I've got nothing but respect for the guys who can. Awesome purchase!

i have been keeping my chains clean with wd40 for the last 15 years...chains on modern motorcycles are sealed oring chains and the lube is impregnated into the chain...the only reason for a chain lube is for an abused chain...

its been my experience with chain lubes that the sticky stuff that makes a lube "no fling" just attracts dirt, so when you lube a chain it attracts dirt into the chain with the sticky stuff...this is my method and its a very common practice so its not like i made it up on my own...but if you like lubing then lube away....its all good
