Hey everyone, just finished up another detail to show off :). The day started off with temps around 40 and strong winds. This is a 2006 Scion TC that has been in 2 accidents- 1 on passenger fender, 1 on drivers side front fender. So the paint isn't the greatest. There were tons of drips, streaks, dust, bad clear coat, etc all over the car. The body shop did a terrible job, IMO. But the results are 100x better than it was before.
Process:
I did a quick wash with Megs Gold Class and Eagle One All Wheel and Tire Cleaner on the wheels. I did a quick detail on this a few months ago so claying wasn't needed. Interior-carpets got vacuumed and sprayed with folex, all rubber and vinyl got Meg's #40 and glass got Stoners IG. This car is like 75% glass, so there wasn't a lot of paint work even though 50% of it has been repainted. As you can see in the pics below, the clear coat on the passenger side fender was horrible. There was no shine on it at all. I decided I'd try wetsanding it and polishing it out to see what would happen. Well I polished it out with OHC, rotary and a green LC cutting pad and rotary white LC polishing pad. Then I did the whole car with Pinnacle XMT #2. This is a light polish but did a great job. A little goes a long way surprisingly. It left the paint squeeky clean. Then came the LSP. I wanted to try something new so I spit shined Meg's #26 using the PC. I sprayed a light mist of OCW onto the paint and then applied #26 with a finishing pad with the PC on 4. I worked the product in so it looked like normal #26. It applied easy and removed just as easily. The results are amazing... sorry for the length of the typing, here are the pics...

To say the least I am quite surprised with the OCW #26 spit shining using the PC. I hope you are too. Don't get on me about tire dressing ... look at my road, it's a mud hole. I didn't feel like wasting product just to get messed up on the drive back to the owners house. Questions, comments, suggestions?
