This is the hood of a black Toyota Supra I did last night and this morning. The picture shows half of the hood as it came to me and the other have after the following:

Step 1: Four Star Medium Cut Compound with a wool pad and Makita rotary on speed 1.5

Step 2: Four Star Light Cut Compound with Lake Country Black Foam Pad and speed 1.5 on the Makita

Step 3: Four Star Swirl mark Remover with Lake Country Blue Foam Pad and speed 1.5 on the Makita

Step 4: Picture taken

This car was pretty bad. The cars main purpose is racing so the shine doesn't matter to the owner too much but I am sure he will be happy with what I was able to do.

Here is a reflection of my garage wall on the hood after the car was complete and a pic of the front of the car complete.

The whole car got the Four Star Body Shop Treatment and was topped with Opti-Seal.

Looks awesome. One of these days I need to get a rotary.

Wow Bob! That looks awesome! Gotta love Supra single stage huh? Bet you went through a lot of pads. But the lack of orange peel is really nice. Those 4* BS polishes are great. And that opti seal doesn't give off that "sealanty" look, it almost seems to have added depth. Nice.

Nice! Why such a slow speed? That's like 700rpm...I usually use between 2-3 on the dial, 1000-1500rpm.

Thanks everyone!

I used a slow speed just because it was doing the trick. I usually don't bump the speed up unless I have too. Plus, this paint was pretty bad and rough in some areas so I didn't know how much paint was really on the car. Some areas where repainted and some where stock.
